SPAGHETTI WITH SPICY VODKA SAUCE

INGREDIENTS

  • 250g Barilla Spaghetti

  • 2  brown onion diced

  • 3  cloves crushed garlic 

  • 300ml cream 

  • 25g butter, unsalted

  • 400g crushed tinned tomato 

  • 100ml vodka

  • 50g chilli paste 

  • shaved parmesan to serve

METHOD

  • Boil pasta in heavily salted water until al dente

  • In a separate large pan, melt the butter and add onions and garlic and sweat down until translucent.

  • Add vodka to pan  and simmer until  reduced.

  • Add chilli paste and tomatoes and stir well.

  • Add cream and bring  to the boil and cook for 5 minutes.

  • Add cooked pasta to sauce and cook for a further 5 mins

  • Serve with  shaved parmesan
