EGG AND CAREMALISED ONION BEAN TOASTIE

INGREDIENTS

Serves 4

  • 4 eggs

  • 8 slices thick sourdough 

  • 2 tins Heinz Caramelised Onion Beans 

  • 400g shredded Colby cheese (2 cups)

  • 2 tbsp Barilla Chilli Pesto

  • Salted butter

METHOD

  • Heat fry pan and fry the eggs sunny side up 

  • Butter one side of the slices of bread, this will be the side that is toasted on the pan 

  • Spread the beans over 4 pieces of the sourdough on the side that isn’t buttered

  • Place the fried egg over the beans and generously cover with the Colby shredded cheese, Barilla Chilli pesto 

  • Season with Salt

  • Then top with the other piece of sourdough.

  • Heat a pan over medium high heat and toast the bread, making sure to weigh something heavy on top to help press down on the toastie. 

  • Cook for about 2mins each side, until bread golden on both sides and the cheese is oozy

  • Repeat until all toasties are cooked
