The Ultimate Crispy Calamari

Light, crispy, and golden perfection! Tender calamari, flash-fried in a semolina-flour coating, served with zesty lemon, fresh rocket, and creamy Meet the Aioli’s El Greco Aioli. A quick, restaurant-quality delight!

Ingredients

  • 1 Lemon Meet the Aioli's El Greco Aioli
  • ½ cup fine Semolina
  • ½ cup plain Flour
  • 200 ml Vegetable Oil
  • 200 ml light Olive Oil
  • 3 small Fresh Calamari
  • Salt flakes
  • 50g Rocket Leaves

Instructions

  1. Mix semolina and flour in a bowl.
  2. Slice calamari into 1.5 cm rings.
  3. Heat both oils in a non-stick pan.
  4. Coat calamari in the flour mix, shake off excess.
  5. Fry in batches until golden (about 3 mins).
  6. Drain on Chux-lined plate.
  7. Season with salt flakes.
  8. Serve on a bed of rocket with lemon wedges and a side of El Greco Aioli.
